Invited… to Sacred Heart Parish's Youth Ministry Kick Off!

In
honor of our new dedication to the youth in our parish, we will be holding a weekly
5 o'clock Mass directed towards our youth. Though the Mass is targeting our youth,
all are welcome to attend the Mass! We especially need youth
ministers, and
young people who will be willing to help organize the music for the youth Mass.
We value any help that you are able to give! |

| This
new Mass will be followed by a youth night, a combination of youth groups for
high school and middle school youth, as well as confirmation and religious education
classes. We are also implementing two new curriculums that we hope will stir the
interest of youth in our parish: LIFE TEEN (High school) and EDGE (Middle School).
We NEED volunteers of any age in order to succeed with these programs. Volunteers
include: musicians, cantors, lectors, ushers, altar servers, and Eucharistic Ministers,
individuals to serve food, and take part in organizing the youth nights. If anyone
can help in any way, your service is greatly appreciated! |

Fr.
Derrek will be celebrating Mass every Sunday at 5 p.m. followed by the Life Teen--High
School and Edge Program--Middle School. |

| The
kick off will be Mass at 5 p.m., followed by a roast beef dinner and entertainment
and door prizes. The whole parish is invited to support our youth. We will be
having a raffle where the proceeds will go towards the youth ministry program. |

Tickets ADVANCE: $5.00 per person / $20.00 for a family of 4 or more DOOR: $7.00
per person / $25.00 for a family of 4 or more. Tickets on sale at the parish office
and after all the Masses. |

| Sacred
Heart Parish is holding a logo contest for the new Youth Ministry Program! This
is the time for the youth of the parish to express themselves, and demonstrate
to the parish all of the artistic talents that our community holds. We will need
two logos: one for middle school, and one for high school. These new logos will
represent our two different youth groups and be displayed on banners, posters,
and anywhere that we are presenting our youth! We are accepting submissions from
both groups and individuals. We are also offering great prizes for the chosen
logos! Good luck! |

| Rules: |

| 1.
All logos must be church appropriate, and incorporate Catholic spirituality in
some way. |
|
| 2.
We would like names, or titles for both youth groups. The name must be appropriate
and representative of the youth in our parish. |
|
| 3.
All logos must fit on an 11x 17 in. sheet of paper |
|
| 4.
All submissions are due Friday, October 24 by 4:00 pm in the Sacred Heart Parish
Office. |
|
| 5.
All submissions must be done in color. |
|
| 6.
Watercolors, oil paints, enamels, colored pencils, markers, pencil, and pen submissions
are welcome, but it must be created in a way that it can be duplicated. If you
have any questions about the type of artwork that you would like to submit, call
Adrianna @ 589-5829, Ex. 13. |

All submissions must be turned with an entry submission form. |
|
| Inappropriate
submissions will not be acceptable. The Youth Ministry Core Team will review all
submissions, and choose the winners. The winner will be announced on Friday, October
31 at Sacred Heart Parish's Fall Festival. |
